Un significativo avance en la lucha por la equidad de género se concretó este mes con la firma de un acuerdo de colaboración entre la Fundación para la Promoción y Desarrollo de la Mujer (PRODEMU) y la Universidad de Aysén. Este convenio tiene como objetivo principal unir esfuerzos en la implementación del Proyecto FIC de Transversalización del Enfoque de Género en la Gestión Municipal con Foco en Violencia, una iniciativa pionera en la región.
La alianza busca reforzar las capacidades locales para prevenir y abordar la violencia de género desde una perspectiva integral, promoviendo la igualdad y el empoderamiento de las mujeres en las cuatro provincias de Aysén.
Julia Cubillos Romo, Directora del proyecto, destacó la relevancia del trabajo realizado por PRODEMU en la región: “PRODEMU es una de las instituciones clave en la red local contra la violencia de género. Su labor para promover la autonomía de las mujeres, especialmente económica, y fortalecer su autoestima y autoconcepto es fundamental. Estas herramientas no solo ayudan a romper el círculo de la violencia, sino que también son esenciales para el desarrollo de las mujeres y sus familias.”
El convenio incluye acciones conjuntas como talleres, capacitaciones y actividades destinadas a fortalecer la gestión municipal en temas de género, alineadas con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS). Esta colaboración reafirma el compromiso de ambas instituciones con la construcción de una región más equitativa y libre de violencia.
Con este acuerdo, la Universidad de Aysén y PRODEMU avanzan en el diseño e implementación de estrategias que no solo visibilizan la problemática, sino que también generan soluciones concretas, impactando positivamente en las comunidades locales y contribuyendo al desarrollo sostenible de la región.
