La Universidad de Aysén, a través de su proyecto «Transversalización de la Perspectiva de Género en la Gestión Municipal» y gracias al financiamiento del Gobierno Regional de Aysén y su Consejo Regional, mediante su Fondo de Innovación para la Competitividad Regional, ha inaugurado con éxito el primer ciclo de Talleres Presenciales Integrados del Diplomado en Transversalización de la Perspectiva de Género. Este esfuerzo pionero tuvo lugar en las ciudades de Cochrane y Coyhaique durante el mes de junio, atrayendo a cerca de 50 funcionarios, que cursan el diplomado actualmente.
Estos talleres, diseñados específicamente para funcionarios municipales y funcionarios públicos, representan un paso significativo hacia la integración de la perspectiva de género en las políticas y prácticas locales. Los contenidos de esta primera sesión se centraron en desarrollar habilidades críticas para identificar y analizar estereotipos de género, examinar casos de violencia y desafiar los mandatos tradicionales de masculinidades. Además, se incluyeron ejercicios prácticos sobre autocuidado y cuidado de equipos, herramientas esenciales para manejar de manera efectiva y saludable las situaciones de violencia.
Julia Cubillos, directora del proyecto, expresó: «esta primera sesión es un hito en nuestra misión de empoderar a los funcionarios municipales con el conocimiento y las herramientas necesarias para enfrentar los desafíos de género en sus comunidades. Nos enorgullece ver la participación activa y el compromiso de los estudiantes, quienes están dedicados a promover un cambio positivo en la Región de Aysén.»
La realización de estos talleres también destaca la importancia de descentralizar el acceso al conocimiento. Al llevar las jornadas presenciales a diferentes ciudades de la región, se facilita la participación de funcionarios de diversas comunas, promoviendo una mayor inclusión y accesibilidad.
Cubillos añadió: «El objetivo de estos talleres es proporcionar a los funcionarios no solo el conocimiento teórico, sino también las habilidades prácticas necesarias para implementar cambios efectivos en sus localidades. Queremos que cada participante se sienta capacitado para actuar como agente de cambio en su comunidad.»
Además de los beneficios educativos, estos talleres fomentan una red de apoyo y colaboración entre los funcionarios municipales de diferentes comunas, creando un espacio para el intercambio de experiencias y la construcción de estrategias conjuntas.
